I forgot about this recipe until today, I was wanting to make a yummy Sunday treat on the healthyish side, and these were the result! They're not overly sweet, and since they're refined sugar free they make for a good snack as well!
They're made with coconut sugar, honey and whole grain flour. I like to switch up my grains, and for the past six months I haven't used any white flour in my baking and I honestly haven't noticed a difference! Grinding your own flour or buying sprouted grain flours makes the flour lighter than regular whole wheat flour, has more health benefits (breaks down the enzymes for easier digestion), and is perfect for baking. For this recipe I used organic sprouted whole wheat flour, but more favorites of mine are spelt and kamut flour, which you can find at any health food store and even Target! Ditch the white flour and your body will thank you!
